Program: Expanding access to new HPV screening for cervical cancer in rural Nigeria
Location: Osun State, Nigeria.
Overview: HPV vaccination does not cover all disease subtypes, are generally unavailable in many regions of the world, and does not eliminate risk for patients of certain age. This project is a community-anchored deployment of new HPV DNA genotyping tests that offer expanded coverage and accurate cervical screening of women ages 25-45 in two rural towns in Osun State, Nigeria.
