Tet Matsuguchi serves as Senior Strategic Advisor, Health Economics, Access & Impact at HopeScan Initiative, where he helps shape strategies that translate diagnostic and health-technology innovation into equitable, sustainable population impact.

 

With experience spanning clinical diagnostics, product development, regulatory strategy, and market access, Tet brings a systems-level perspective to the challenges of making high-value health technologies available to the people and communities that need them most. His work at Guardant Health, Inc. and Driver, Inc. has included supporting the deployment of clinical diagnostic laboratories in China and Japan, as well as securing international regulatory authorizations for diagnostic devices, navigating U.S., Japanese, and European regulatory pathways.

 

Tet is especially focused on advancing access to effective diagnostics and care through practical, evidence-based approaches that align clinical value, affordability, implementation feasibility, and long-term health-system sustainability. He is committed to strengthening the connection between innovation and measurable public-health impact, particularly in global health and underserved settings.

 

Tet holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
